Anna Atkins Cyanotypes - curated set of 9 prints on aluminium

Anna Atkins (1799–1871) was a pioneering English botanist and photographer, celebrated for her innovative use of cyanotypes, an early photographic process. In 1843, she published Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions , the first book illustrated with photographs, featuring her striking blue-toned images of plants. Atkins created these delicate prints by placing specimens directly onto light-sensitive paper and exposing them to sunlight.
